Thanks for visiting Sky View Tents! Stargazing has always been a passion of mine. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve watching the Hale-Bopp comet from the deck of our trailer in southeastern Connecticut. From those early days, I’ve always felt awe at the vastness and beauty of so many stars and planets shining in a dark sky. Watching the stars always made me feel like there were limitless possibilities.
Speaking of limitless possibilities, I’ve wanted to be an inventor since my early days in engineering school. That bug hit me hard, and it only got stronger for the past 15 years of my corporate career. Thing is, I didn’t just want to invent a “useful widget.” I wanted to create something I’d feel passionate about, something that others would get just as excited about as me.
Enter Sky View Tents. The inspiration for a stargazing tent came to me New Year’s Eve 2022 at 4am on a beach in Mexico alongside my incredible fiance, Zari. After a beautiful night under the stars, I couldn’t help but wonder why nobody had invented a tent with a roof that made stargazing in comfort a possibility, no matter what the weather conditions brought. Since then, I’ve been developing and refining our prototype to create the raddest stargazing tent on the market with patent-pending technology to let you enjoy the night sky with comfort and unmatched night sky viewing clarity!

Sky View Tents – and your happy inventor – are based in Buena Vista, Colorado. If you’ve ever been here, you know it’s an incredible place to live, camp, and stargaze for much of the year. I truly aim to sew a piece of the Buena Vista spirit into every tent we make and sell. Built one at a time by our own hands, we use materials we’ve done our best to source responsibly and sustainably. Our goal is to be one of the few Colorado made tent manufacturers on the market, dedicated to quality, innovation, and great customer service.
