Sky View Tents utilize a polyester bug mesh that is incredibly clear, durable, and high-quality. The mesh is completely invisible at night without lights on inside of the tent. You can slap the mesh from inside the tent and the view you’re getting of the night sky is not impacted at all, meaning that wind will not impact your view as well. It’s a wild experience to touch something but not see it. During testing we found this mesh to be clearer than any other material, even clear plastics. Okay, back to the original question. The mesh openings are just smaller than 1/18” and will block all mosquitos and bugs found in the majority of places this tent will be used. A true no-see-um mesh, however, is generally 20x20 mesh, ours is 18x18. Therefore, this tent is not the best for areas where no-see-ums proliferate.
